Student Policies and Information


This section is to make studio policies easily accessible to enrolled students. Please consult this page first if you have questions, and email us if you don’t see the answer here!

-Payment: please bring the full amount of tuition to the first day of class, in the form of cash or personal check, unless you have made a different arrangement with your instructor. Checks should be made out directly to your instructor.  Please do NOT make checks out to Sparrow Studios. Please arrive on time, or early to class.


-Appropriate clothing for class: please wear adequate, form-fitting workout attire that fully covers the backs of your knees, your waist, and armpits.  Do not wear shirts that will flip up when you invert. For the health of the equipment, please never wear pants with zippers anywhere on them, and remove all jewelry prior to the start of class. You might consider wearing layers: a leotard, tights under pants, a long- and short-sleeved shirt.  Please wear deodorant...thanks in advance.


-Additional training: it is recommended that you prioritize at least one extra training day per week, in addition to your class. Open Gyms and Hours of Power are offered at Airbound Arts, mere blocks away from the studio.  Visit www.airboundarts.com for that studio's scheduling and membership information! Supplemental training is also available in the form of private and semi-private instruction. Ask your instructor for details.


-Make-up classes: you are welcome to attend a make-up class if you miss your regularly scheduled class time.  Please consult the studio schedule on this website, to find a class near your level that you can attend as a make-up.  Handstand or acrobatic students cannot take aerial class as a make-up, and vice-versa. ALL make up classes must be completed before the end of each session, and are not transferable.  If you know you are going to miss a class near the end of the session, please arrange to do your make up in advance of your absence.


-Cancellation and refund policy:  once the first day of class has passed, you are no longer eligible for a full refund.  There is a non-refundable $50 deposit with every tuition. Every class that passes before you ask to be un-enrolled from the class will deduct a further $22 from your total refund.  There are NO refunds available after week 4. If emergency or injury prevents you from taking a class, we can discuss a credit towards future classes. There are NO refunds for handstand or intro to aerial classes. Credit may be available for future classes, in case an injury prevents you from attending class, under the same terms as refunds. All credit is void after six months from date of issue.
