We will meet TWO days a week (Monday & Tuesday) in order to achieve a full 8 class session. Last chance for Intro to Hoop/Sling until winter 2026 ;) If you are interested in the class but can only do one day/ week, please contact Emily at ejvankley@gmail.com—there may be opportunities for class-sharing with another student.
Prerequisites: Must have completed Intro to Aerial.
Aerial Inversion Clinic and Conditioning
Prerequisites: none
Description: Want to improve your invert? This class will use different apparatuses to drill techniques that make your invert efficient and safe. Whether you're aiming for a bent-arm or straight-arm invert, or just want to build strength, we’ll work on valuable core and proprioception training that can help! Bring a notebook and writing utensil to record your most helpful drills.
Rope-tations
Prerequisites: 1) able to hold a bent arm hang for 5-10 seconds. 2) Can recall and endure multi-step sequences and wraps. 3) ability to invert from the air not required, but helpful!
Recent successful completion of a CB1 or CB2 will suffice - Talk to instructor if you’re unsure.
Description: For going around and around - - on the rope! Or silk. Most of the rotational skills learned in this class will translate to silks, too. Expect saltos, rotations, rolls, and drops adaptable to different levels. If you love rope (or want to!) this class will give you lots of varying skills you’ll be able to string together.
CB1 Summer
Prerequisites: Intro to to Aerial within the last 6 months
Suitable for CB2-level students too, this class is ideal for those who completed the Intro to Aerial course (or above) within the past six months. It introduces new silk and trapeze skills and sequences that are not covered in the standard 8-week series!
Belays with Maddisyn!
Prerequisites: 2 climbs to the top with no break, Hold tight ball (bent arms / bent knees) 10 seconds, be able to do 20 sec long hang on vertical apparatus, invert from the floor
Do you love belays? Don’t know what a belay is? Belays are a common and versatile wrap on the silks! Come learn a couple different ways to get into this wrap on the silks, including leg belays, waist belays, no-invert belays, and some more complicated entries / exits. We will also talk about belay theory briefly (how to enter / exit belay) and learn a brief sequence incorporating a belay.
