Cap City Pride: Saturday, June 27
The board members at Airbound Arts and co-owners at Sparrow Studios are so excited to combine efforts to represent our local circus entities and individuals at Cap City Pride. We are sharing a booth and a table at Percival Landing, near the playground. (Booth spaces #84 and #85)
WANT TO VOLUNTEER!?!?
We are seeking the following volunteer roles:
help with set up, tear down, and working the booth
casual performances or ambient demonstrations of partner acrobatics, juggling, clowning, aerial, (or any circus discipline!)
Performance/Demonstration timeslots will be at 12pm, 1:30pm, and 3pm. Performers and demonstrators can sign up for one, two, or all three. This is not a traditional show - we ask that you come prepared to demonstrate or perform your piece more than once during the timeslot, if possible. A private, portable aerial rig is being donated for the day for use of these slots, and several private aerial apparatuses are being donated for use throughout the day as well. Available apparatuses: silk, sling, rope, lyra, and loops; performers are welcome to bring their own apparatuses.
You don't have to wear a costume or have anything choreographed to participate in the demonstrations... you can make this as chill or wild as you want! Queer and trans performers to the front!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we know this is a tight turn around, so please be attentive to your email and phone as the logistics become solidified.
Must be at least 18 years old to participate.
Must be able to commit to the full duration of timeslot.
