Prerequisites: none

Intro to Trapeze

Intro to trapeze will take you through the basics of trapeze mechanics focusing on beats, some of the classic tricks, and sequences. By the end of class expect to feel more confident about how to speak trapeze.
Prerequisites: must be able to invert to a basket. Ideal for those who have completed at least one CB1 level class.

Aerial Fundamentals
Learn the basics of aerial arts from grip to bodily engagement and how to stay safe in the air on trapeze and silks. By the end of this 4 -week class, students will be able to understand  and practice the basics of safety in aerial arts, grip and shoulder mechanics, core stability, and the building blocks of common aerial movements like inversions.  This class is considered an optional prerequisite for Intro to Aerial.
Prerequisites: none

Silk & Sling Choreography (CB1+)
Silks and sling… to music! Each week, more choreography is added to the same sequence. Skills will be CB1 level, some stamina required!
Prerequisites: Intro to Aerial, one or two sessions of CB1 recommended.

Wraps Lab - Vertical Theory & Pathways (CB3+)
Guess what… It’s all the same wrap! Let’s explore familiar single-pole wraps and their variations such as s-wrap, u-wrap, saltos, thigh-hitch, hipkey, etc. Understanding what wrap holds you up helps keep you safe and gives you ideas for where to go next.. This class will be taught on silks and rope.
Prerequisites: must have taken all 3 sections of CB2

Hard Things Hoop and Trapeze!
Let's explore some fun and twisty sequences that work on both hoop and trapeze! We'll enjoy how these hard apparatuses hold us up while moving through pathways that translate between the round and rectangular. We'll work on spinning on a centered axis, using momentum, and sensation conditioning for these ouchy but outrageously awesome classics of aerial performance.
Prerequisites: must be eligible for CB2 or above

Apparatus Adventure Lab (Beginner)
Meet your new favorite aerial apparatuses, as we explore cloudswing, sling loops, and more! Prerequisites: CB1+ Must have completed Intro to Aerial and be able to invert from the ground with or without a spot.

Apparatus Adventure Lab (Intermediate)
Meet your new favorite aerial apparatuses, as we explore cloudswing, sling loops, and more! Prerequisites: CB2 + Must be able to invert from the air without a spot.

Intro to Hoop and Sling (open sling!)
In this class we explore aerial apparatuses in the round, learning fundamentals unique to aerial hoop/lyra and sling/hammock, as well as sequences customizable for students at a variety of levels. Enjoy building your relationship with these fun and supportive apparatuses! Summer session will specifically focus on OPEN SLING things! Not sure what that means? Come find out. INTRO to Hoop Sling is for students brand new to hoop and sling. Ease with inversions/ spinning is not necessary, but we will work toward both!
Prerequisites: successful completion of an Intro to Aerial class.

Aerial Inversion Clinic
Want to improve your invert? This class will use different apparatuses to drill techniques that make your invert efficient and safe. Whether you're aiming for a bent-arm or straight-arm invert, or just want to build strength, we’ll work on valuable core and proprioception training that can help! Bring a notebook and writing utensil to record your most helpful drills.
prerequisites: none

Straps Conditioning for Specific Skills
Straps conditioning for specific skills will breakdown skills like skin the cats, meat hooks and straight arm inversions/ straight leg inversions. We will look at body mechanics to effectively obtain good form for these skills using ground work and in air drills to help students understand how to hold themselves in these challenging positions and how to work towards achieving them.
prerequisites: successful completion of one or more CB2 level classes, or equivalent experience.

Intro to Vertical Dynamics CB2/3/+
Intro to vertical dynamic is an opportunity to begin learning how to use the beats you’ve been working on to transition directly to skills using momentum. We will break down transitions like hand slides, pop throughs and rotations using progressions, floor work and drills.
prerequisites: successful completion of one or more CB3 level classes, or equivalent experience.

Pilates for Aerialists
Looking to add a cross-training day to your routine? Or maybe you want to condition a bit before your next aerial or acrobatics class?
